New Oxford Street. The bus stop on Crn Tottenham Court Road and New Oxford Street can be seen as a non-place. It's a place of ‘self-suspension’ in which the sense of anticipation for another place and another time cancels out the immediate environment. It is an area of curious juxtapositions; at once boring yet intensely clogged with people, traffic, noise and the swirling mess of promotional mobile phone flyers.
